Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on
Wednesday called new Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Prime
Minister Mohammad Mustafa on the phone and invited him to Rome.
Tajani, who is also deputy premier, said he had "confirmed the
Italian government's support for the Palestinian Authority and
the 'two peoples two states' solution.
"Italy is working towards a ceasefire that will enable the
liberation of the hostages and humanitarian assistance," he
said.
