After registering a drop in January,
Italy's public debt was up again in February, rising by 22.9
billion euros on the previous month to climb to 2,872.4 billion,
the Bank of Italy said on Monday.
It said the the increase was mainly due to a rise in the public
sector borrowing requirement of 14.1 billion and an increase in
Treasury liquid assets of 8.6 billion to 42.8 billion.
