Premier Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday
met in Romw with the prime minister of Libya's interim national
unity government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, for talks focusing on on
migrant and energy, Italian sources said.
Dbeibah was accompanied by a delegation of ministers - foreign
affairs, interior, transport, communications - while the Italian
government was also represented by deputy premiers Antonio
Tajani (foreign affairs) and Matteo Salvini (transport), as well
as by Business and Made in Italy Minister Adolfo Urso and
Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi.
Also present at the inter-government summit was the managing
director of oil giant Eni, Claudio Descalzi, who is set to sign
an accord with his counterpart at Libya's National Oil
Corporation (NOC).
