Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday
announced funding of 9.8 billion euros for 17 new territorial
cohesion agreements around the country after a meeting of the
inter-ministerial economic planning and sustainable development
panel CIPESS.
"So far we have signed 17 Agreements, we are on the home stretch
to close the last 4 (Campania, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia) and
thus cover the entire national territory," she said.
"It is extremely valuable work that has allowed us to make
available to the territories the total sum of 9.8 billion
resources of the Development and Cohesion Fund 2021-2027.
"It is a particularly important package, which today the CIPESS
is called upon to to approve and which has mobilised
approximately 15 billion euro through regional, national and
private resources".
