Italian Olympic Committee (CONI)
President Giovanni Malagò on Thursday warned against making
"summary judgements" about the situation at turmoil-hit
Juventus.
Andrea Agnelli quit as Juve chairman on Monday along with the
rest of the board amid a probe by Turin prosecutors into
allegations that the club presented false information to
investors about its accounts in recent years.
The accounts of the club, a listed company, have also come under
the scrutiny of Italian stock-market regulator Consob, and the
Italian Soccer Federation has opened a sporting probe into the
case.
"It is necessary to wait before making evaluations," Malagò told
ANSA on the sidelines of an event in Milan.
"I won't join in with those making summary judgements, neither
in one direction, not in another.
"I am a public official. I wouldn't be a very serious person if
I made a judgement.
"We'll see what happens".
