ANSA at the weekend sealed a
cooperation deal with Uruguayan news agency Uypress.
The collaboration accord, the latest in a string of such deals
worldwide, was signed in Montevideo in the presence of Italian
Ambassador Giovanni Battista Iannuzzi.
The accord envisages an exchange of content and forging an
enriched offering of international news for clients as well as
developing joint commercial offers to boost the communication of
institutions and businesses in their respective countries.
It follows similar deals with Dutch agency ANP, India's PTI,
Argentina's TELAM and other news agencies.
Ambassador Iannuzzi said: "I'm happy that the collaborations in
the media field between Italy and Uruguay have been boosted and
they can therefore promote a greater mutual knowledge and a
projection of Italy into a very important country for us."
ANSA Managing Director Stefano De Alessandri also voiced
satisfaction with the deal saying "The accord we have sealed
marks another important partnership on our path of growth on the
international market, and after that with TELAM it is a second
step towards broadening ANSA's already important presence in
Latin America, an area that hwas always been strategic for us".
Uypress Director Esteban Valenti said "ANSA is a first-class
agency. We studied the content of the Italian and Spanish news
wires for a long time, observing their excellence...in Uruguay,
news on Italy is among the few topics of an international nature
that is read".
