(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 7 - Istat said Wednesday that retail sales
increased by 0.2% in April with respect to March in value terms
but dropped by 0.2% in volume.
Similarly, the national statistics agency said retail sales were
up by 3.2% in value terms on April 2022 but down by 4.8% in
volume terms.
The data suggests the cost-of-living crisis is still having an
impact on Italian consumers, who are paying more to get less.
