Industrial employers chief Carlo
Bonomi on Monday criticied the 2023 budget bill for including a
flat tax, and early retirement moves, adding that it was an
anomaly to have more taxes on labour than on revenues.
"Some planned interventions such as those on the flat tax and
early retirements burn resources that should be allocated to
measures for the country's development and growth of the
country," said the president of industrial employers' federation
Confindustria during the assembly of industrialists in Bergamo.
"One does not understand why every time you want to reflect on
the world of work you end up talking about pensions. We are a
country where more taxes are paid on labour and less on
revenues, annuities and yields.
"And this is an anomaly that exists only in our country".
